Kai Ostermann

Kai Ostermann, Owner and Executive Managing Director of

started his professional career in international banking before further studying international marketing and economics in Germany, Spain and the USA. Following his graduation, he held the position of Marketing Communications Executive with the Spanish national carrier Iberia Airlines and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board. He continued his professional career as Spokesperson and Manager of Media & Public Relations for the Walt Disney Company, in charge of the US-based Theme Park Attractions and Resorts and the Disney Cruise Line in Central Europe. Since 2001 he progressed as Regional Director for Tourism Queensland representing the Australian Sunshine State with Marketing and Public Relations activity across Europe for which he won the “2009 Best Marketing Campaign Award” for their ”BEST JOB IN THE WORLD” initiative. In 2005, Kai successfully established the Public Relations Agency, News Plus, which was awarded third best German tourism PR agency after only three years of operation.

Peter Mierzwiak
General Manager
Our General Manager has 15 years experience as freelance journalist for local newspapers. While studying journalism externally, during which time he was awarded "Student of the Year", he trained as a Travel Consultant and also worked as an Editor at the weekly travel trade journal "Touristik Aktuell" for three years, specialising in Destinations and Aviation. For the past five years, Peter has been with the Public Relations Agency, News Plus, in Munich as Public Relations Director where he managed a 10-strong PR team responsible for numerous destinations including New York City, Las Vegas, Sri Lanka, Abu Dhabi, Mauritius, etc.

Annette Kegel
Manager
After successfully completing her studies majoring in tourism management, Annette launched her career with the German Tourist Board in Paris, France. Following her Parisienne experience, she worked for Sylt Marketing on the holiday island of Sylt for three years as Destination Marketing expert. She then joined Aviareps Mangum for the last two years as Market Development Manager representing Tourism Queensland in the Western European markets.

Veronika Wallner
Executive
After completing her Tourism Management Degree at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Veronika went to Australia for a 1 year working holiday experience. Falling in love with the land Down Under she stayed for five years gaining excellent destination knowledge and first class experience in the international travel industry with Backpackers World Travel.

Viola Ehrig
Executive
After traveling around Australia for a year, Viola Ehrig started her studies in tourism management in Freiburg. The land down under, however didn`t let her go, so she went back to Australia to continue her education in Melbourne. After completing her degree, Viola worked for tourism wholesale operators specialised in longhaul travel in Berlin and Stuttgart.

Dr. Jörg Borse
Senior Consultant
Dr. Joerg Borse has finished his Masters in Arts and Media Science. During his studies he founded the first university TV acting as presenter, editor and interviewer. Jörg has been working with several tourism-related Public Relations agencies and managing Corporate Communications of major Frankfurt-based banking institutes. As travel editor, he also contributes travel stories to various regional newspapers.

Christian Rottenwaller
Trainee
Christian Rottenwaller has joined the team of Global Spot as trainee after his initial studies of Tourism Management at the University of Munich. He has gained first professional experiences in Public Relations and Marketing in various roles prior his studies. Christian loves to explore foreign countries and its different cultures, eg. South East Asia and North America.
